Saving, Sharing and Running Reports
Saving Reports in the Repository
Although you can save reports on your desktop or local secured network, there are benefits to saving in the repository:
- You can access the reports from anywhere.
- The reports are available to the help desk staff to assist you with any problems you may have.
- The underlying data structures can be refreshed whenever there are changes. (Instructions for refreshing will be included when changes are announced.)
Learn more about the repository in the BAIRS UPK or Basic manual.
Sharing Reports
You can share reports in the repository with your co-workers, either by e-mail or by posting to a shared drive. But be aware that there may be a problem opening locally saved reports, as discussed above.
Interactive Reporting Web Client (IRWC) reports created by a user with Internet Explorer can be saved and shared with others who use Firefox, and vice-versa.
Running Reports
If you are off-campus and want to run reports, login to Blu and access the Berkeley Reporting Portal using the links under the Finance tab, Job Tools section.
