Campus Forums - Fiscal Year-end Deficit Processing FY06-07

We have scheduled two campus forums in May to go over the year-end deficit clearing processes. Both forums will cover the same material. Topics covered will include:

1) a review of the Deficit Resolution Policy and what constitutes a deficit under the policy for Contracts and Grants, Recharge, and Other Current funds,

2) a review of the process for requesting a year-end deficit waiver, including tips for filling out the Deficit Resolution Form, submission deadlines, and the review process of the requests done by EFA, the Recharge Committee, Budget Office, and

3) an explanation of how and when deficits will be cleared against the department chartstrings for fiscal close FY06-07.
