a FY2006-07 INTERLOCATION TRANSFER OF FUNDS DEADLINE

This message is from the BFS User Mailing List

FY2006-07 INTERLOCATION TRANSFER OF FUNDS DEADLINE: 5PM MAY 16, 2007

The year-end deadline for submitting Interlocation Transfers of Funds is rapidly approaching. To ensure the inclusion of transfers in fiscal year 2006-07, all completed and signed paper Interlocation Transfer forms (UFIN
1520-I) must be received in the Campus Budget Office by 5pm on Wednesday May 16th.

Office of the President does not accept Interlocation Transfers for the month of June. Requests received after the May 16th deadline will be processed for the July 2007 ledger.

For instructions and the UFIN 1520-I form, please visit:
http://www.bai.berkeley.edu/gl/interloc.htm.

REMINDERS

2. Interlocation Transfers of Funds must be prepared by the department on the UC campus that is sending (debiting) the funds.
3. Chart strings must be translated into the legacy account structure used by Office of the President (the Corporate Financial System). Please see instructions for translating UCB chart strings. Please make sure the chartstring for the recipient campus has also been translated into the Corporate Financial System.
4. Transfers occur once monthly between UC Campuses and Office of the President.
5. Contract & Grant funds cannot be transferred using the Interlocation Transfer of Funds system.

Any questions regarding processing these types of transfers may be directed to the Campus Budget Office helpdesk at bkbudget@berkeley.edu or 643-4243.
