LOW-VALUE PURCHASE AUTHORIZATION LIMITS INCREASED TO $4,999
LOW-VALUE PURCHASE AUTHORIZATION LIMITS INCREASED TO $4,999 Effective April 1, 2007, Procurement Services has increased the Low-Value Purchase Authorization (LVPA) Transaction Limit from $2,500 to $4,999 per transaction (including tax but not freight costs). This policy change comes after an evaluation of the operational effectiveness of the low value procurement process and related risk factors. BluCard limits can also be increased to $4,999.99 per transaction
(including tax AND freight costs), but this is not automatic. If you
are the Authorized Signer or Delegated Signer for your processing unit,
the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Business and Administrative
Services and your department grants you a delegation of authority to
approve changes to the procurement card in your processing unit, including
setting new credit limits. Please submit a CAF form should you wish
to make these Policy regarding Restricted Items remains unchanged for both LVPA
and For questions regarding the LVPA program, please contact your Central
Procurement Services Buyer, or the Procurement helpdesk: For questions regarding the bluCard program, contact bluCard@berkeley.edu or 643-8201. Last updated: April 11, 2007 |
