August 2011 Monthly Close and Delay of Payroll Detail Data

The August period has closed and the final results are in BAIRS as of 9/13/2011.

Please check to ensure that you have no outstanding journals for the August period. If applicable, you can copy these journals with a future date in order to post them in a future period. Then, please delete all outstanding journals for the August period.

As previously announced, detailed payroll data for the BIS_PPS_Expense Detail reports is not currently available due to an unanticipated change in the PPS data feed from UCOP.  We will send out additional communications when we have more information and when the payroll detail data is available.  In the meantime, you can view payroll detail information in BAIRS Customer Reports and via the PPP5302 Payroll Expense Distribution Report available in PageCenter.  More information about PageCenter is available from the Payroll website.

We would like to remind you that all departments are expected to document compliance with certain key financial controls by completing the Key Financial Controls (formerly SAS 112) checklist that is found on the Controller's Office website.

These controls are to be performed monthly. Our auditors perform annual tests on our internal controls and they continue to test departments' compliance in the following areas:
