Travel and Entertainment Training

The Travel Office is pleased to announce the following Travel course offerings for the month of August 2007.

TRAVEL CLASSES

Travel Reimbursement System Preparers' Class (Course Code TTRS). This class is required in order to obtain access to submit travel reports in the web-based Travel Reimbursement System. The class will be offered on Monday, August 6th, from 9 a.m. to noon in Room 74 Barrows Hall. In this hands-on computer class, participants will learn how to prepare, submit and track on-line travel reports.

Note:
Before attending class, you must have a CalNet ID, passphrase, and access to the Travel Reimbursement System as a Travel Preparer. To request access, go to the SARA (Systems Access Request Application) website at http://fbaccess.berkeley.edu/users/logon/logon.cfm.

Travel Reimbursement System Approvers' Class (Course Code TAPR). This class is required in order to obtain access to approve travel reports in the web-based Travel Reimbursement System. The class is being offered on Tuesday, August 7th from 10 to 11:30 a.m. in Room 74 Barrows Hall. In this hands-on computer class, participants will learn how to approve and track on-line travel reports.

Travel Policy Forum (Course Code TVPL). This class is recommended for anyone who travels on UC business, or prepares or approves travel reports and wants to know more about UC travel policy. The forum will be offered on Monday, August 13th from 9 a.m. to noon at 2195 Hearst, room 101A.
This presentation will cover the basics of UC travel policy including airline, car rental, and hotel policy. It will also include topics such as meals and incidental expenses, required documentation, and travel advances.

ENTERTAINMENT CLASSES

Entertainment Policy Training is available online via eTrain at:
http://dtsetrain.berkeley.edu/login. Select the “FMCP Managing Entertainment Expenditures” link. The online course will launch in a separate browser window.

Classroom training for Entertainment will be available starting in fall 2007.
